EVG OPEN DATA PACKAGE


East View Geospatial draws on its vast library to compile an unparalleled digest of vector, raster, imagery, and elevation data as the EVG Open Data Package: 2016 Edition. Encompassing the world, the product addresses the needs of individuals and organizations seeking context for global issues ranging from the environment to population. The 2016 edition also ensures access to the most recent geospatial representations of developments anywhere on Earth, and empowers researchers to complete timely, relevent studies.

The bundle comprises best-of-breed foundation data including the latest available imagery, raster topographic, vector topographic, and elevation data. The 2016 edition comes compliant with FGDC/ISO 19115 standards and has been prepared for ingestion by commercial software suites.

VMAP

VMAP 1

 The Vector Level Map 0 constellation comprises three identical optical EO satellites, which makes it possible to target anywhere on Earth once per day at sub-meter resolution. Our specialists convert the imagery from the native VPF format to an ESRI shapefile.

East View Geospatial has taken this 1:250,000 scale vector data set and rendered it into an ESRI Shapefile fomat featuring 10 thematic layers divided as Boundaries, Data Quality, Elevation, Hydrography, Industry, Physiology, Population, Transportation, Utilities, and Vegetation. All content is in English.

OSM

East View offers a 1:250,000 scale vector data set featuring global coverage for shoreline, international boundaries and country names of the world, converted from native format (VPF) to ESRI Shapefile. All content is in English.

Customers can now download the latest version of the multi-scale vector data set, converted from the native OSM format to ESRI Geodatabase format for more than 25 thematic layers, including Boundaries, Buildings, Geological, Highways, Landuse, Natural, and Waterways. All content is in English.

Originally published by The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and its legacy organizations, East View Geospatial has taken the 1:5,000,000 scale aeronautical chart series containing 27 sheets and projects to Lambert Conformal Conic, and georeferenced them, cropped the marginalia, and tiled the sheets for a Web Mapping Tiling Service mosaic in accordance with OGC Standards. All sheets are in English.

The 700 aeronautical sheets that make up the tactical pilotage charts are set at 1:500,000 scale with terrain contours are at 500 feet and typical sheet extents at 4 degrees latitude by 6 degrees longitude. Originally published by The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and its legacy organizations, all sheets are in English and have been georeferenced and cropped to be offered as a mosaic via Web Mapping Tiling Service and OGC Standards.

East View Geospatial has taken this digital elevation model originally published by the United States Geological Survey and converted it from BIL format to a 32-bit GeoTIFF format. The model provides global coverage at 30-arc seconds, which is approximately 30 meter pixel spacing.

SRTM

LANDSAT2000

Converted from its native format to a 32-bit GeoTIFF format by East View Geospatial Employees, this digital elevation model offers coverage from 60 degrees north to 60 degrees south at 30-arc seconds, or approximately 30 meter pixel spacing. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and its legacy organizations originally produced the model.

A raster model comprising more than 700 Landsat 7 pan-sharpened mosaic images and offering coverage at 15 meter pixel resolution, the LANDSAT2000 has been uniquely modified from its original MrSID format to 3-band color GeoTIFF by the East View Geospatial team.

GLC-30

This raster model can be downloaded and delivered in a tiled 8-bit GeoTIFF format, and offers global coverage for land-use land-cover at 30 meter pixel resolution. Finer Resolution Observation and Monitoring of Global Land Cover (FROM-GLC) originally published the model after deriving content from Landsat 7 and 8 data.
