East View Partners with World-Renowned French Mapping Agency

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, USA – November 11, 2015 – East View Geospatial has secured an agreement with Institut national de l’information géographique et forestière (IGN), the national mapping authority of France, to be an official distributor for the organization.

With this agreement, East View adds to its glowing portfolio of geospatial data from one of the largest mapping agencies in the world. Along with information from France proper, products also cover current French overseas territories, such as Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique and others.

East View is now an official U.S. distributor for the vast IGN portfolio, which includes among additional products; digital topographic maps, orthoimages, vector format databases, cadastral parcels, 3D digital models, satellite imagery and online geoservices. Of note are the SCAN 25 and SCAN 100 products, which are available for all areas of France at a 1:25,000 and 1:100,000 scale respectively.

“This partnership enables non-French speakers to easily discover and acquire the extensive products of the IGN-covering France as well as all French Overseas Departments and Territories-while maintaining the familiar excellent service that East View customers have come to expect,” said Kent Lee, East View Geospatial’s founder and CEO. “The IGN is one of the most prestigious mapping agencies in the world, and we are very excited to work with them to distribute this quality resource.”
