The Republic of Nauru became independent in 1968 and is mapped by the Directorate of Lands and Survey (NDLS). A small four-colour 1:10,000 scale survey of the island is published, which uses spot heights for relief and includes many place names.
Soviet military topographic mapping of Nauru is available at the following scale: 1:1,000,000 (2 sheets, complete coverage, published in 1964). This product is available in print, digital raster and digital vector GIS formats from East View Geospatial.
Nauru appears on British Admiralty Chart (979), published by the Hydrographic Office (HO).
